Lookabaugh - Ruth Sanford

Mrs. Ruth F. Lookabaugh, resident of Crawfordsville for most of her life, died Saturday morning at Culver Hospital. Mrs. Lookabaugh, 76, had been in failing health for several years. Her home address was 316 E. College St. She was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Lookabaugh. The couple were married on Nov. 2, 1912. Mr. Lookabaugh was a longtime employe of Mid-States Steel & Wire Co. Mrs. Lookabaugh was a member of the First Baptist. Church. A native of Boone County, she was born on Dec. 28, 1892, the daughter of James H. and Minnie Whiteley Sanford. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Herbert Buck of Crawfordsville; four brothers, Loris, Bryan, Paul and Kenneth; two sisters, Hazel Jackman of near Ladoga and Kathleen Sanford of Crawfordsville; three grandchildren, Jack Buck of Columbus, Ohio, Linda White of Indianapolis and Steven Lookabaugh of Muncie, and five-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Irvin Lookabaugh. Services are set for 2 p.m. Monday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Milo Riggs officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. - jlr
